Meet Zach

Raised in a small town in Nebraska, Zach grew up in an entrepreneurial family working at his parents grocery store. At the early age of 10, he learned what it takes to become great at what you do.

At 11 years old, Zach was riding in the rodeo. He went on to become 2x Saddle Bronc Riding Champion. He often says, "Everything I needed to know about leadership, I learned in the rodeo arena."

WILD RIDE #1

Zach grew up with horses. It all started with 4-H and quickly turned into roping and riding rough stock in the rodeo.

After years of hitting the ground, Zach earned two state saddle bronc riding championships.

Zach joined a team of entrepreneurs in Kansas City who were growing a $30 million third-party logistics company. He worked his way up from sales to Vice President of Sales and left when it had grown into a $300 million company!

His experience as a VP of Sales gives him valuable insight into what could have served him to be a better leader. This is what inspires him to help other leaders today!

Today, Zach is recognized as a thought leader, TEDx Speaker, and Executive Coach who specializes in empowering leaders to take personal responsibility through his innovative concept: How to Saddle Your Own Horse™. His 2024 TEDx talk introduced this transformative approach as a contemporary leadership solution tailored for burnt-out executives.

And even though he’s given up bronc riding, you’ll still find him wearing cowboy boots.

Zach lives in Overland Park, KS with his wife Shandy and their three beautiful daughters, Claire, Sophie, and Thea.
